How Many Days Should I Rest After Liposuction?

Updated: Sep 28
The answer is it depends.

It depends on you and your body. There are many people who can get liposuction and return to work within 7 days but it doesn't mean you should.
Others are so inflamed that even though their pain levels are manageable they can't move properly and the idea of going back to work is a nightmare.
If you work REMOTELY after Liposuction
You can get a walking pad to help keep you mobile it will aid your body in lymphatic drainage. Everytime we move around your body naturally drains.
It will also help prevent pooling at the ankle the way that sitting or standing for long periods will do.

If you work IN PERSON after Liposuction
Let's keep in mind your clothing will fit different while you wear foams and a faja.
You want to have a collection of clothing that make you feel good about wearing them.
Baggier, looser, anything that allows you still feel like yourself just a little bit more.
You should also let your job know about lifting restrictions
because you had a medical procedure done (you don't have to tell them which procedure in most cases).
Prioritize your recovery.
If you do not make sure to stay ontop of your faja (as you get smaller the garment becomes bigger) and or just your compression garments in general you run the risk of becoming lumpy.
Not all surgeons believe in compression garments which in those cases, you want to give your body the best enviroment for reducing swelling.
Less sodium. Less grease. Less stress.
