Why do I look bigger 3 weeks after liposuction?

Tricky question, the answer is you are and you aren't.
On a day where you are really swollen you quite literally are bigger and if you hop on the scale your weight will reflect this.
As the swelling subsides your weight will drop.
And in a non surgical body this is also the case. Fluid retention is heavy.
Then there's the bodys healing response.
Welcome to Post Op Chats where you can read the feedback I would give my clients in the Bronx.
The body heals in stages in order to repair itself.
And because surgery is traumatic there will be days where your tissue is inflamed as a way to better heal.
Healing of tissue can take up to a year, and your body will fluctuate, change, and evolve continuously.
Every day you might look a little bit different and this is nothing to worry about.
What is to be of concern is color changes, open sutures, an infection, the serious topics that your surgeon should of covered with you.
And ontop of all that... the faja can cause body dysmorphia.
At around 3 weeks your swelling may seem like its much less and that is because it is.
But when you wear a faja that's fitted it snatches you in more.
Only temporarily because thats it's job.
I encourage you to take pictures daily (unclothed, no face) so you can truly track your progress. To the naked eye we can not always recognize just how much our body's are changing every single day.
